Mary Clark Confalone's Solo Exhibition, "The Great Outdoors" and Open Show, "Wildlife" will hang in the gallery through July 28. Stop by anytime during our regular hours to see this exhibit. If you can not make it during our regular business hours, you may call for an appointment.
CCAC's Drawing Dogs & Cats with Jen Roth
4 Part Mini Sessions
Join instructor, Jen Roth, who will teach step by step instructions on how to draw dogs and cats.
The 4-session class is open to those 8 years and up and the fee is $45.00. No experience necessary and all materials are provided. Class starts promptly at 5:30, please arrive 15 minutes early.

Minihane's 2nd Annual Art Festival
Call for Entries
This year's festival will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Live music outdoors, all day. There will be children's activities including a bouncy house, bookmobile, karaoke, face painting, dunk tank and more!
If you are interested in participating in Artist's Alley, please RSVP to CCAC at 410-392-5740. There will be NO artist table fee and Minihane's will not collect a commission from your sales!!

Artists In Action
Bring your supplies and join artists in the gallery to paint, draw, or sculpt the day away. Beginners and professionals meet to work on projects, and to share tips and tricks. You never know who will set up in the gallery! All ages and skill levels are welcome. Always FREE, come in every Wednesday from 10:30 am - 2:00 pm and spend the day with the CCAC.
Join the poets every first and third Tuesday of the month. Entertaining and always clever, these "word wizards" are worth a listen. Lunchlines meets at noon in the bright, cheery gallery for about an hour. Bring your lunch and enjoy! All ages are welcome and participation is free for all CCAC members.

Children's Art Lessons
Tully Lane, an art studio for kids, is offering children's art lessons for ages 5 through 10 with Lisa McKeown Dolor. Tully Lane is a beautifully situated art studio in Fair Hill that provides a nurturing environment to promote creativity, discovery and independent thinking.
Four week sessions are $48 and space is limited.

Interested in learning how to draw dogs and cats? Jen will teach you the basics to do just that, this intro class is perfect for those 8 years old and over! The workshop will be held in the back gallery during Elkton’s Dog’s Day of Summer, parents may drop their children off so they can continue to walk Main Street or they are welcome to take the class as well.
Fee is $20.00 per person.
No experience necessary and all materials are provided.

Dog's Day of Summer
Dog's Day of Summer will now be held on, Thursday, August 10, from 4:00 - 7:30 p.m.
There will be vendors with items for purchase and lots of doggie activities for your furry friends to do.
Featured vendors are: Cecil County Animal Services; House of Hope Dog Rescue; and Paws For People.
Participating merchants include: Spork, Suz's Quilt Studio, The Palette & The Page, Art Space on Main and, of course, the Cecil County Arts Council! CCAC is offering pup-cool-down-stations, paw waxing, treats, a doggy bar and pooch selfies, too.
Enjoy live music at the Corner of North and Main Streets from 5:30 - 7:30.
Please keep in mind that retractable leashes are not permitted and you must clean up after your pets.
CCAC Opening Reception

Carl Forsberg will display his portraits depicting his love of birds in his solo exhibition, “A Bird’s Eye View” in the front gallery through August. The open show, "Scene’s" will hang in the back gallery and light refreshments will be available during the opening.
Durken & Mallet will provide the live music.
As always, the arts council is free and family-friendly and accessible to persons with disabilities.

Interested in Cecil County Arts Council's 2nd Annual 6x6 Canvas show this year? Stop by the gallery during our regular business hours and pick up a canvas. Create it as you wish, sign it on the back and bring it back
to us by September 5th.
The unveiling will be Friday, October 6, 5:00 p.m.
The cost to purchase a finished canvas is $20.00 and the name of the artist will be on the back!

Elkton's 2nd Annual Chalk the Walks Event will be held on Tuesday, August 15 from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., right in Downtown Elkton.

The Cecil County Arts Council is open Monday through Friday, 10 am-4 pm, and the first Saturday from 10 am-2 pm (unless closed due to holiday). The Arts Council acts as a clearinghouse for information on the arts in Cecil County. Now in its 40th year, the Arts Council is a non-profit organization, dedicated to “presenting, promoting and sustaining the arts in Cecil County”.
Supported by funding from the state, county, individual contributions, and sponsorship, the Arts Council is also a membership organization! We would love to include you as a member of this wonderful group of people!
At venues all throughout Cecil County, the Arts Council provides opportunities for the residents of our community to experience art events such as free concerts along the waterfront, exhibitions, workshops, classes and much more!
The Arts Council also provides grant and scholarship opportunities to community residents, organizations and schools. Each year, the Arts Council offers over $34,000 in sub-grants and scholarships to applicants.
