With the help of the Maryland State Arts Council, the Cecil County Government, and private and corporate donations, Cecil County Art Council awards scholarships to students pursuing degrees in the arts and offers sub-grants to local non-profit organizations and schools wishing to present art programs in Cecil County. Arts Council Scholarship Fund Next Deadline April 16, 2010 CCAC Annual Scholarship Fund is open to legal residents of Cecil County planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate degree program in the arts and students currently enrolled in an art program at an undergraduate level. Community Arts Development Grant Next Deadline August 6, 2010 The Community Arts Development Grant is designed to foster excellence in the arts in Cecil County, provide specific project support for non-profit organizations bringing arts programs of quality to residents, and to encourage audience awareness of, and participation in, artistic expression in all media. Town Arts Program TAP Quarterly Deadlines The Town Art Program is designed to provide specific project support for towns to bring new arts programs of quality to residents, foster excellence in the arts in Cecil County towns and encourage audience awareness of and participation in artistic expression in all media. Arts Express Quarterly Deadlines Arts Express Grants are designed to provide transportation and ticket scholarships to school students and community youth organizations for art performances and exhibitions to encourage children's participation in the arts. Applications are accepted from schools or community organizations wishing to visit public presentations of the arts. Click here for Word Application
Project CAN Quarterly Deadlines "Project CAN" are programs that enable arts in the community, particularly in economically disadvantaged, "at-risk"neighborhoods, and for people with special needs. CCAC may fund a qualified artist to conduct the program or provide supplies for that program. Programs or projects must promote the availability of the arts to children or an underserved community.
