Announcing the 2008 CCAC Scholarship Print E-mail

The Cecil County Arts Council is a private, non-profit organization committed to presenting, promoting & sustaining the arts in Cecil County.

In keeping with this mission, the Arts Council established a scholarship fund to provide opportunities for emerging artists to develop and practice their art.  The goals of the Scholarship program are to encourage students to pursue a career in the arts and to assist students with tuition costs and fees.

Applicants must be legal residents of Cecil County, a graduating high school senior who plans to enroll in a full-time (at least 12 credits a semester) undergraduate degree progam in the arts, or a student currently enrolled in an art program at an undergraduate level.  Scholarship funds must be used primarily for tuition and fees. Submission of the signed original plus an additional copy must be USPS postmarked or hand delivered by April 1, 2008.  Fax or email submissions and late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.  Applicants will be notified in writing by May 12, 2008 as to the disposition of their application once the selection process is complete.  Scholarship recipients will receive public recognition and certificate of award at the Arts Council’s Annual Members’ Meeting in June 2008.  Please see the "Grants and Scholarships" page of our website for application and additional information.
